TYRION QUOTES

Everything is better with some wine in the belly
  • "Far too much has been written about great men, and not nearly enough about morons.”
  • “Trial by combat, deciding a man’s guilt or innocence in the eyes of the gods by having two other men hack each other to pieces. It tells you something about the gods.”
  • “Remember this, boy. All dwarfs may be bastards, yet not all bastards need be dwarfs."
  • "It's not easy being drunk all the time. If it were easy, everyone would do it.”
  •  1. -to varys- The Lord of Light wants his enemies burnt, The Drowned God wants them drowned. Why are all the Gods such vicious cunts?
Where is the God of tits and wine?

    2. -to joffrey-  Ooo, I'm a monster. Perhaps you should speak to me more softly then. Monsters are dangerous and just now kings are dying like flies.
    ~S03E10

    3. Janos Slynt- I won't have my honor questioned by an imp!
Tyrion - I'm not questioning your honor, Lord Janos. I'm denying its   existence.
  •   A day will come when you think yourself safe and happy, and suddenly your joy will turn to ashes in your mouth, and you'll know the debt is paid.
  •  "I wish I was the monster you think I am. "

"My brother has his sword, and I have my mind. A mind needs books like a sword needs a whetstone."

“We've had vicious kings, and we've had idiot kings, but I don't know if  we've ever been cursed with a vicious idiot for a king!” (to Joffrey)

"It's hard to put a leash on a dog once you've put a crown on its head." (to Joffrey)
  •  Dialogue with Cersei-

Cersei: You're not even half as smart as you think you are.

Tyrion: Still makes me twice as smart as you!
  •

Tyrion-Lannister

A number of reasons.

1. The ultimate survivor -
This guy is a dwarf in a time and place where size and skill at arms are hugely respected. However, he does not let it become a weakness and uses his wits to far greater effect than a warrior uses his sword.

2. Terrible childhood -
He has suffered humiliation, ridicule and disdain at the hands of his father due to his deformities and the death of his mother when he was born, when all he wanted was a bit of love and respect.
He was also physically and verbally abused by his sister in his childhood. His brother Jaime is the only person with whom he has had any sort of a close relationship.

3. Cunning but kind -
He is capable of extreme cunning and takes calculated measures against his enemies, but is also capable of sympathy and genuine kindness towards those whom he perceives as helpless or outcasts like himself

4. Heartbroken, but not hopeless -
He has suffered heartbreak of the most terrible form possible, when his father had his wife raped by his entire guard and made them pay her, calling her a prostitute. However, Tyrion doesn't lose his capacity for love as he again falls in love.

5. Experienced, undaunted, witty dude -
This is one person who has been through all kinds of highs and lows in his life, but his spirit remains undaunted, unbroken and fearless.
He has known immense power in his homeland and has also been a bound and chained prisoner in a foreign land. He is regularly taunted and ridiculed due to his size and deformities. He is threatened and beaten up for his sharp, acerbic tongue.
However, none of that ever tames his spirit (or tongue) and he retains a sense of humour throughout, which is pretty darn impressive.

"The Lord of Light wants his enemies burnt. The Drowned God wants his enemies drowned. Why are all the gods such vicious c*nts? Where is the god of t*ts and wine?"

How do I get over the fact that I am ugly and will never have the girl I liked in my life?

I'm 26, my looks are below average, and half of my hairs have grey coverage. Like you, I've my own financial and family challenges. My materialistic possessions are close to zero as I'm a minimalist both by choice and life's vicissitudes. I've had two girlfriends. Both left me without giving me a proper reason. But both were very polite. They never told me that I was ugly or didn't meet their expectation of an ideal financial partner. That's okay. Not everything in life is explicitly said.

From a father-in-law's perspective, I would be the most pathetic potential groom. I don't own a house or a car. Neither would they appreciate my views of a house being a bad investment. But again, I don't complain. They belong to an era where inflation was low and buying a home was easy.

Potential brides also have little expectations apart from monthly payment of bills. A honeymoon trip to Sydney, jewelry, M.F. Husain's paintings on the wall, fortnightly beauty parlor trips, and a monthly expenditure over the top of paying all the bills. Actually, something is required to post on Facebook wall and tag friends.

And people will tell you so many good things that you should first love yourself, accept yourself, getting a girl is not everything and other eye opening statements. But nothing makes sense because you wish to see the dream with closed eyes. So you tend to ignore everything. Now, dreaming is not bad. But when a dream gets repeated over and over again, it gets scary. It frightens you for no reason.

So we are going to see a different dream. A fulfilling dream. This dream is all about yourself and no one else. It is about tweaking things in your favor. Now, being ugly was pure randomness but the way you carry yourself is a choice. Just by sheer confidence in the way they carry themselves, average looking people beat their physically beautiful counterparts. Get in shape, dress well, take care of your grooming and know well what you speak. And tell you what, physical beauty is going to erode and smartness is going to grow.

Once you feel confident, concentrating on your goals become easier. Perhaps your hair is not coming back but if you are persistent in your goals you can achieve your goals.

Know yourself better. Getting a girl doesn't mean anything unless you can give love and emotional support to her. And for that you need to understand your core values. Forget about finding the right woman. Concentrate on becoming the right man.

So go now and see your dream. Live it. Because when you are going to open your eyes after seeing it, the world is going to look more beautiful.

LOVE GOT

The Things We Do For Love.

For those we love. For love lost. For lack of love. For love that will never be returned. Love is the dominant emotion that drives every main character.
  • Love in it's many forms is one of the most powerful themes throughout the series.
  • Love literally shaped the continent of Westeros. Love drove Prince Rhaegar to "kidnap" Robert's lady Lyanna. This began Robert's Rebellion setting up the status quo in the Game of Thrones.
  • Love for our children. As nasty as she can be, everything Queen Cersei does she does for her children. The children of the North receive no less love from their mother. Khal Drogo lost his life and his empire due to his love for his wife & never to be born son.
  • Singular love. As nasty as he can be Jaime has only ever known and loved one woman in his life - Perhaps the only man in Westeros who can claim that.
  • Unreturned love. Turned Petyr into what he is.
  • Love of honor & duty. Poor Ned. He was a horrible politician.
  • Love of whoring & boaring. Poor Robert. He was a horrible king.
  • The list goes on and on.

Love colors everything around us, giving human life greater depth and drive.

The difference between threatening and educating GOT

The difference between threatening and educating.

Tyrion Lannister: What kind of knight beats a helpless girl?
Meryn Trant: The kind who serves his king, Imp!
Bronn: Careful now. We don't want to get blood all over your pretty white cloak.
Tyrion Lannister: Someone get the girl something to cover herself with.
[Sandor Clegane gives Sansa his cloak
Tyrion Lannister: [to Joffrey] She's to be your queen. Have you no regard for her honor?
Joffrey Baratheon: I'm punishing her.
Tyrion Lannister: For what crimes? She's not fighting her brother's battle, you halfwit.
Joffrey Baratheon: You can't talk to me like that. The king can do as he likes!
Tyrion Lannister: The mad king did as he like. Has your uncle Jaime ever told you what happened to him?
Meryn TrantNo one threatens his grace in the presence of the Kingsguard!
Tyrion LannisterI'm not threatening the king, Ser, I'm educating my nephew.
[to Bronn
Tyrion LannisterBronn, the next time Ser Meryn speaks, kill him.
[Back to Ser Meryn
Tyrion LannisterTHAT was a threat. See the difference?

Replace looks by thought

Imagine a world where it is not the face which is visible but our thoughts! That is, your "thoughts" will literally be your "looks", so when people see you, they wont see your face but your thoughts.

1. Everyone will try to have beautiful thoughts as no one will want to look at those with lewd, dirty or violent thoughts.
2. There will be competition between people in having better thoughts, but no one will want to be jealous or wish ill about others, as that too will be visible and make them look bad.
3. Gradually thought parlours will come up, dressing up people's thoughts and making them beautiful.
4. Before going to social parties, everyone will 'touch up' their thoughts.
5. Fashion shows will be a display of the best, the cleanest and the most beautiful thoughts, further people will want to follow them and start thinking on those lines.
6. Courtship, dating, relationships and friendships will be brutally honest, totally weeding out the cheats and frauds.

well, the list can go and on and, but all in all, I guess it will make for a far more beautiful world than what it is now, won't it?
